of Mr. 0. h. White as junior teacher

The regular monthly nieeting of the
Children's Aid Society was held in the
secretary's office in the court house on
Monday afternoon of this week.
Secretary Elliott reported that one
boy had been given over to the care

The monthly meeting .1 the
Mothers' Club, held in l'entrel 'school
on Tuesday afternoon, had a program
of :unusual interest. The first of a
series of talks on hygiene was given
by Miss Ball. who told most interest-
ingly of food values and the necessity
of a properly balanced ration if the
growing child is to have a fair chance
of development: This sut.ject called
forth discussion, which led up to other
topics of mutual interest to mothers
and teacher. .It is to be regretted
that more of the mother., and teachers
of our t awn tin not avail themselves of
these monthly- meetings, which are
open to all who have an in•ereet in
the welfare of the licys and girl-. The
program of the May meeting will in-
