Mr. John Bowler. the sad event tak-

at the old homestead near Kintail, at
the ripe old age of over ninety-three
yeart. The late Mr. Bowler was one
of the band of heroes who came to
this country when it was • complete
wilderness, without roads or other
conveniences, and whom motto was
