ECHOES OF THE EXHIBITION.
The great attesetiou at the Oodericb
industrial Exbibition on Thursday
last was a detachweot of the 3Rrd Bat-
talion from Loudon, about Sx) strong.
The soldiers arrived at the 0. T. R.
station at 11.30 o'clock and detrained
amidst the "hurrahs" of a large ■um-
ber of citizens who had gathered to

Mr. Geo. Laithwaite had an exhibit
of nine new varieties of apples. His
exhibit of boxed apples. which took
first prize, was of the Bienierck var-
iety, which he is confident will be a
"stayer. '
At the Exhibition stand of i) Millar
h Mon was a pair of works knitted by a
lady in her eighty-ninth year.
Though we are not permitted to glee
her name, we may say that the knitter

ious products of its rectory. This con-
