Woodworking and Mechanical Drawing 2. Cooking 3. Dressmaking 4. Millinery Three evenings per week will be devoted to each subject. Competent teachers for the different subjects have been engaged. A fee of $1.00 per term payable in advance will be charged. On Monday the proprietor c f the Bedford hotel appeared for sentence, but the magistrate reserved his deci- sion for one week more oo the plea of Mr. L E. Daccey, who appeared fur the defendant, that there being an ele- ment of doubt in the eau the magis- trate was within his rights in making 31 a tint effrnce. They found the bar locked and Mr . King in his garden. He made no objection to a stench be- ing made and opened up the house for the put pose. Woodstock, Aug :A). -Another Woodstock boy, in the person of Pte Warren Hildred, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Hildred of this city, and a mem- ber of the first Canadian contingent, his again distinguished himself by his bravery in rescuing a small boy who had fallen into the tide race at Hay - ling Island, England. and who was in great peril of being drowned. Pte.
