Th. Greyhound Trip.
The annual trip of the steamer Grey.

ring many from making the trip. The
steamer arrived from Detroit at 3,311
p.m. oo Monday evening with a fairly
large passenger list. Considering the
fact that no excursion trains were run
this year from outside points, the
"moonlight" excursion on Monday
evening wns decidedly successful,

on the Inky. At 11.:y1 on Tuesday

Mr. Farrell's Visit.
Mi. John Farrell,'o(tbeimmigration
department of the Provincial Govern-
ment .ervice, was in town on Tuesday
and Wednesday til this week and
received applications from a number
of men for positions at farm work.
He expects to be able to pace about
thirty men from Godericb et various
points. He also was interviewed by a
number of farmers seeking help. in
some cases the wages offered weir not
cite up to the standard which is now
demanded for farm labor, but Mr.
Farrell was able to make retti.factory
arrangements. Speaking to The Signal
last evening, Mr. Farrell said his trip
to Godertcb had been a successful one.
