Mr. Rn was bra May, 1881, on

The late Mr Robertson is survived by
ow sister, Mrs. Lewis BlUott, of Port
Heron, who is now the ooly living
member of a large family, and by two
soar and two daugbtses: Charles A.,

Lester J.. of Niagara Pans, N.Y.: Men
FA. Fisher. of Colborne, and Miss
Mary. of Niagara Falb,. Ont. Mr.
Robertson was prominent in the pub-
lic and social life of the township. He
sat in the township council for four or
fi.ve,years and waa a member of the
Masonic Order and of the Canadian
Order of Forester*. lie was one of the
most enthusiastic Masons in the dis-1
trier. and his loyalty to the craft was
reeognixed in the repeated bestowal of
honors by his Masonic brethren. 11e
wagon numerous occasions a delegate
to the Orsnd Lodge and a number of
veers ago received an appointment as
a Grand Lodge officer- He was a
Presbyterian, being a member of Knox
church, lioderich, at the time of bis
death, and in politics be was a Liberal.
He was a 7.onstant reader of The Sig-
nal. He was appointed • justice of the
peace in Beni. He was an active and it.-
dustrious man. took a keen interest in
farming and in hie younger days car-
ried on many prizes as a plowman.
The funeral took place on Saturday
afternoon, the 22nd, and was coin
ducted under Masonic timepiece. Rev.
