shape of a water tube 101t horse power
boiler, to ne used in Ler yachOon the
Muskoka lakes. The engine in con-
nection with this boiler is a triple ex-
pansion kind guaranteed to drive a
boat about 75 feet long. Another
machine in course of preparation is an
engine and boiler for Messrs. Vanorder
R Davis, of Port Burwell. to be in-
stalled in a fishing tug. It will be

E:TKN-IVK. PLANT.
A visit to the plant, of the Doty En-
ine Works is certainly very interest-
ing. At the present %line there are
about till men employed there and
everything around the plant seems to
be well managed. also showing great
industrial activity. This firm does not
attempt to compete for really heavy
work but in building engines up to
:100 horse power it can easily hold its
own. The plant here covers about
three acres of ground. comprising the
pattern shop and stores, foundry, ma-
chine shop, erecting shop, black-
smiths shop. drawing and general
offices. The boiler shop is 140:80 feet.
