meet the council and try to settle the

Dr. Strang is well known ell over
this part of the province as a promin-
ent educationist and is looked upon

He was horn in 1511, in Galt, one
Coat• after the founding of Queen's
llege at Kingston and the same
year that the Goderich Collegiate In-
stitute wag taro. He is putt one
ninth younger than Sir Wilfrid
Laurier.

teaching in a country school, gofug
the, next year to Owen Sound. where
he remained until 1871. He cane to
the Goderich Collegiate Inetitltte that
year where he was principal for 34

the principalship hut still remaining
