The passing of Mrs. E. J. Copeland,
at OM Park, Chicago, on Tuesday
April 210111. reproved a native of Goie-
ricb townnbip. The deceased's maiden
name was Eliza Jane Wilkinson, She
was a daughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Denitel Wiitinaon, whose farm
narked the spot on the 4th concession
of Goderich township that is familiarly
known as •• Wilkinson's Uotners."
After coming to Godeticb to live tbe
subject of this notice engaged in the
millinery business, which vocation she
followed fora considerable period. Of
late year's the greater part of her time
was spent with friends in Chicago sod
in the Southern States, while she made
periodical visits to relatives and
friends its town. Her last ilium ex-
