Although the weather is not partic- ularly spring-like, the ladies are greatly interested these days in the spring millioery, and the openings at the millinery establishments have been well attended. At Redgsne Bros'.. The millinery showrooms at Hod - gens Bros.', where Min Reynolds is in charge, presented a very attractive appearance for tilt openingdays of the season, and & large number of ladies were out to see the new styles. Millinery this year shows a profu- sion of flowers, both in the laree roses and mounts and the tiny English nosegays tucked in under the brim or tacking down the soft taut crowns so much in favor. Small hats are the feature for early wear, either in the narrow boat -shaped hat or small soft tam. The leading shades are the "Nell rose," one of the many tones of cerise ; the "Firm" shade, bordering on the buret orange ; "Flor- entine," one of the lobster shades ; the always popular "Paddy Green,' and the various shades of purple. One particularly attractive bat shown was a French creation of Matlame Pouy• anne. Some of the smartest bate and shapes in vogue now for spring are the close -fitting tailored hats. Mir Campbell' has a range of Kyles and fabrics that will delight the heart of a woman of fashion. Mies Cameron's. Miss Cameron, bas heen busy attend- ing to the many ladies who have called to see her select stock of millinery goods. AU the latest and most approved styles are shown here and the season's novelties are seen to advantage. The spring millinery this year hes taken a decided change. The hats are smaller and closer -fitting, and bright colon prevail, such as purple, falcon blue. Nell rose, and pretty shades are brought out by veiling two or three colors togetber. The summer hats will be larger, in the soft pastel shades and white. CHURCH NOTES. Services as usual Io Victoria street church next Suoday. Rev. Dr. Medd will preacb. Mr. Jas. G.
