Rev. J. W. Aikens, held secretary of
the temperance and moral reform de-

dressed the congregations of both Vic-

last Sunday. He made a forceful
presectation of his subject. and while
demonstrating that ot-Ranized bodies
might work for great reforms showed
Diet it was necessary that the individ-

the smaller evils of the day.
A good-sized oonereg,.tioo was in
attendance at Knox church last Sun-

as his tett the twenty-second verse of
the twenty-seventh chapter of Acts:
"1 now exhort you to be of good
cheer : for there shall he no lois of any
man's life among you, hut of the ship."
After speaking a word of welcome to
the sailors and fishermen assembled
before him the reverend gentleman
reviewed the story of Paul's shipwreck
as described in the chapter from which
his tett was taken. He then touched
upon some lessons to be learned from
the story from the moral and spiritual
