Sad Case,
As a result of the post-mortem ex -

oaths -old baby boy of Mr. and Mrs.
Wed Reeves, St. David's street.
owner Holmes had a jury summoned
on Monday night evidence was
en in regard to the circumstances
ding up to the child's death. The doc-
found that the child had been ill-
oerished, and evidedce of the neigh -
wax to the effect that the child,
ith twins barely a year older, were
otuently left alone in the house and
were sadly neglected. The child
ied at the hospital, whither it
bad been removed a. the iostarce of
the agent of the Children's Aid So-
iety, to whose attention the condi-
ions at the Reeves bones bed leen
rough!. The removal, however, was
late to remedy the baby's .starved
ondition. The verdict of the cor-
ner's jury was as follows :
"That the said infant child of
Alfred and Mr.. Reeves came to his
ath from inanition in the Alessandra
Marine howpiW on the 18th of Novem-
ber, I512. said inanition being brought
on by improper food. We also find
that Mr. and Mts. Reeve. are deserv-
ing of rensnre for their neglect and the
way they left the child alone in tbe
ho toe,"
