Dancing was the favorite amusement of the e% -ening. Others who would not or could not dance played cards or indulged in conversa- tion. About midnight supper was served and efterw-ards Mr. and Mrs. Glazier were pie.ented with two chairs and an eddresat read by Chas. McNeil. Mr. Glazier. though taken by surprise, answered in a neat s h and thanked his friends for their kind- neae and goodwill. DEATH OF MI88 DISHEe.-After a long illness the death of Miss Diana Dreher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Disher. occurred on Monday, November 18th. The funeral took place on Wednesday,,tbe services be- ing conducted by Rev. J. E. Hunter, assieted by Rev. G. Gomm and Rev. Thor. Young. The pallbearers were B. J. Crawford, Albert Maine, John Howatt, Fred Robinson, Alex. Pent- land and N. F. Whyard. Landsborougb, of Tuckersmith town- ship, committed suicide last evening by drowning herself, in a barrel of water. Sbe had been despondent for some time and was being carefully watched, but inanaged to get away from the house yesterday, and was found dead a few minutes later in a barrel of water near the house.
