There was no actual change In the con-
dition of the market for butchers' cattle,
but the feeling was better, owlig to the
lighter recelpte and the tact that tte per-
centage of common stock was much small-
er than It has been of late. Demand was
good, and a fairly active trade was done.
A few full loads of choice steers changed
hands at 50.25, and picked lots at 16.50 to
10.71, while full loads of good cattle sold
ati6.75 per 100 founds. There was a good
demand from packers for canning Kock,

stronger feeling developed In rhe market
for such, and prices advanced 15c to 26e
per 101 pound*, with sales of bulls at 16.0
to 15.16. and cows at $2.26 to 12.75 per 111.

Owing to the continued good demand
for iambs from packers and butcher,
for future requirements. and the falling
off In 'unpile', a stronger feeling pre -
vaned In the market, and , -ices advanced
Sc per 100 pounds, with sales of Ontario
stock at KM to 04.50. and Quebec at ISIS
to 16 per 100 pounds. The tone of the
market for sheep was firm, but. as the
supplies coming forward were ample to
fill the emu of the trade, prices are un-
changed. Calves were In good demand.
Mill -fed stock sold at 6c to 7c. and gram -
ted at tiro to 1c per pound.
Hop were weak, prices showing a de-
eline of is to 710 per 10 pounds, as com-

There is no use in snaking Rhe ex-

Only Results Count
The one thing above all else that you want to know
about the range you buy is this -that itwill cook and
broil and bake with absolute satisfaction.
Other features of a range, such as convenience,
economy and appearance, are, of course also indispens-
able, but the prime necessity in a range is results in
cooking. The Gurney -Oxford gives results -not now
and than, but always.
Every Gurney -Oxford is a source of continual satisfac-
tion to its owner. Day sifter day, year after year, it
enables her to produce pastry, bread, roasts that
contribute to the pleasure of housekeeping. That is
why the Gurney -Oxford finds its strongest support
among those who have had actual and intimated experi-
ence with it. You too will number your Gurney -
Oxford among your best friends.
