Robert Kydd, 01 the 4th coocessitru of Usbnrne, suffered a severe accident one day latets wMch nearly const him itis lett arm. Together with several other men he was cutting wood with a circular saw w•betr the saw iat the rack and struck Mr. Kydd in tbe left arm, about four inches below the shoulder. The saw out right through the flesh and bone, leaving but a small portion of flesh bolding the arm together.. Coctoys were sutumoued and the arm was set, and it is hoped that it will be saved and be almost as useful as ever. Death at Wingham. After an illness extending over six months, the death occurred in the Wingbam hospital on Friday last of George Autry. Deceased was born in Fordingham, Dorchester, England, and came to Wingham in May of this year.' He was then in excellent health, but after working for some time at the oew Western Foundry, and later with the Grand Trunk, be was taken ill with cancer of the stom- ach. Besides his wife be leaves one little daughter. His father, three brothers and one sister reside in Eng- land. The funeral, which was held Saturday afternoon to Wingbam cemetery, wa'. conduc!,ed by - Rev. E. H. Croly, of the Anglican church. Death of Archibald Somerville. Surprise and deep regret were felt in i4eaforth when the news was spread of the death of Archibald D. Somerville, which occurred at his borne in that town on Thursday, October 24. Mr. Somerville had not been in good health for some time, but was active and going about until a few days be- fore his death. Last spring he dis- pored of his fine farm in McKillop and moved to Sesaforth, having purrbaaed a comfortable residence there. He and Mrs. Somerville spent moat of the summer with a son and other friends in Saskatchewan and returned only a few weekm ago. Mr. Somerville was born sixty-one year% ago in McKillop and was highly respected In the town- ship. He leaves bis widow, two sons end two daughters.
