The Herald says that 'The Beacon was wron,t in stating that the Stratford contract is based upon a momentary peak load, And holds that the conditions are quite fair in comparison with those granted to other places. The Herald, how- ever, does not touch the point which is bf chiet interest to the people of Goderich in this connection -that is, The Beacon's contention that the Hydro -electric contract has eo far prevented Stratford from securing a Street railway. The musical part of the evening's program was given in excellent style by the choir of Knox church, Gode- rich, under the leadership of Mr. Hunter.
