One day last week she and bee younger .inter, Dorothy, two years old, were pisyiog on the river bank near the mill race. Reaching into the water, which was there about five Leet deep, to catch a fish, Dorothy lent her balance and fell in. Seeing the danger. Marjorie, instead of running away, seized her sister by the hair and succeeded in pulling her out. When the children reached home, Marjorie's hands were full of hair from her sister's head, showing that she must have used unusual strength in effecting the rescue. Peter's church, Lucknow, was the scene of a pretty ceremony on Wednesday, June 19. when, at 11 s m., Edna. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Taylor, hecame the bride of William T. Holmes. The church was beautifully decorated for the occasion. Rev. A. Richardson perfornied the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her father, was dressed in white duchess satin, with embroidery. pearl trimmings and satin roses. Sbe wore a tulle veil with a wreath of orange blossoms, and carried bridal roses and lily of the valley. The bridesmaids were Miss Lila Taylor, sister of the bride, Miss Gladys Holmes, sister of the groom, and Mise Mabel Rutaon; of Kincardine ; all dressed in yellow minon de sole over ducbess satin, and carrying pink roses. Harry Holmes, of Borrie, brother of the groom, was groomsman, and the ushers were Geo. H. Smith and J. B. Allan, the latter of Toronto, cousin of the bride. Mrs. Geo. H. Smith played the Lohengrio wedding ,parch, and during the signing of the register Miss Sboebottom, of London, cousin of the pride, sang a beautiful solo, "Beloved. It ie Morn." After the ceremony the wedding party was entertained to a sumptuous luncheon at the borne of the bride's parents. The bridal couple left on the afternoon train for a two weeks' honeyincon trip to Toronto, Mackinac and other points. After their return they will reside in Luck - now.
