Reed entered into rest. et bis home on Brock street. Ilia death followed an illness extending over two years. during which be experienced most Intense suffering. Mr. Reed was fortv.bix yeah of age. Among the ministers who received ordination at the meeting of the Lon- don Conference at St. Thomas wbich has fust been concluded was Rev. Arthur W. Brown, who has been in charge of the Benwiller circuit of the Methodist church during the past year and who goes back to that sta- tion for another year. Mr. Brown has been very zealous in the prosecution of his work at Beamiller and his oou- tinued success is confidently looked for as a result of his able end diligent efforts. Last Sunday morning members of Court Goderich, No. 38, C. O. The following even- ing the Knox church and St. George's church teams came together and the annihilation of the Anglicans by the snore of 10-1 was the outcome. Nicholson and Wiggins were the battery for:the Presbyterian., while Devine and Garrick were the server and receiver respectively for St. George's church. Tbe most exciting game, so fee, was the battle on Tuesday eveuing between the Anglicans and the Catholics. The final score was 7-7. but by the way the Anglioaas did things in the first innings few thought that the game would end a tie. With not 1 man down 8t. George's secured five 113pa, but the St..
