Mr. and Mrs.. John Porterfield, of Fordwicb, celebrated tbeir diamond wedding on Saturday. April 20th, when they were surrounried by a num her of their children and a few intimate friends. Mr. and Mrs. Porterfield were monied in Toronto sixty years ago, driving sixty miles in a lumber wagon to have the ceremony per= formed. They resided at Sesrboro' for a time and then Droved to Renick wbere they farmed until six years ago, whim they moved to Gerrie and later to Fordwich, which is now their boar. They were Messed with a favffy of thirteen children, all of whom are living.
