gregation last Tuesday, Mr. Arthur
receiving a secretary and Mr. Ramsey

Rev. J. S. Duncan end J. G. Mur-
docb. of Lueknnw, attended the ban-
quet in the Presbyterian church here

not large. Those present thoroughly
enjoyed the missionary speeches of
the visitors.
Last Monday witnessed the first

it was time to wend their steps home-

William Patterson, of the 14th con-

removing the building to his own
place which he purchased from Mr.
Cowan, of East Wawanosh. He pur-
poses building a barn this summer,
making use of his own barn and the
one purchased from Mr. Cowan for
that purpose, and placing it on a
cement foundation.

DEATH of T. H. TAYLOR. -It is our
painful duty ut record the death on
fiaturday, filth inst., at bin residence,
John street, Wingham, of T. H. Tay-
lor, a pioneer of East Wawanosh. Mr.
Taylor owned and operated the saw-
mill here theorist's has nephew. Ben
Taylor, and bad (large landieterests In
this neighborhood, farming at the
time of hie deat b '400 acres on the 4th
e nd 5th c%ucessions, He was a public-
spirited gentleman, serving for years
at the council board as councillor and
for a number of years as Reeve. and
no more popular or painstaking town-
ship officer ever mated the Reeve's
chair. 'He also filled the Walden's
chair for a term, twiny possessed of
strong executive ability and keen busi-
ness insight. A few years ago be re-
moved to Wingbam to spend his last
days free from active business pur-
suits. He bad reached the ripe age of
eighty-one yeeu•s, and died from an
affection of the heart. His aged
widow and one son, B. H. Taylor, of
the 6th conoeseion, are left, as well as
a large circle of relatives. The funeral
washeld oo Tuesday to Bethel ceme-
tery, near Sr. Helens, Rev. R. A. Mil-
ler officiating at the home and grave.
CROZIER -CAMPBELL. - The mar-
riage of Miss Lurenia Caroline Camp-
bell, only daughter of Mr. and Mn.
W. H. Campbell, Westfield. to Wil-
liam Perry Crozier, of Ashfield, was
solemnized by Rev. R. A. Miller. of
Auburn, at the residence of the bride's
parents at 4:30 o'clock on Thursday.
the 14th inst Miss Winnifred Gor-
nn, of Lucknow, cousin of the bride,
'eyed the wedding march. The
ride, who was unattended, wax given
way by her father and wore a lovely
dress of pearl grey satin. with fringe
and pearl and bugle trimming, and
carried a bouquet of bridal roses. The
floral decorations coesisted of hya-
cinths, tulips and dsffodila. Guests
were present from Windsor. Detroit,
Orangeville, Wingham, Luctnow,
ooerirq, Blyth Had other places.
The bride's going -away costume was a
tailored suit of navy blue serge with

home to her friends at Woodbine Cot-

-It is with feelings of deep sorrow
that we record the death of Mrs. W.
J. Wigbtman, which occurred on
Tuesday morning, 12th bolt., after an
illness of three week: duration from a
complication of diseases The de-

parents moved to East Wawanosh,
where she resided until her marriage
