Coal Blockade Relieved.
The blockaess of coal cars at the
Niagara border has now been relieved
and the Grand Trunk Railway is
bringing coal into eastern centres of
the Dominion freely. "1 have just
got a \vire from Black Rock." said a
Toronto official of the G. T. R.."saying
that thousands of cars of hard and *oft
coal awaiting delivery to dealers are
on the move. if the weather remains

Banquet to F. S. Scott.
Brussels, March 2.-A compliment-
ary banquet was tendered last night
to Finley S. Scott, president of the
Rural Telephone Company here. when
lee gentlemen sat down to well -spread
tables in the town batt. Guests were

grave. Wroxeter. Bluevale and other
places. Reeve . Leckie was toast-
master. A fine progratn of speeches
was given. An interesting feature
was the presentation of an elegant
