She is making good peigreas towards recov- ery. DRATH OF MRS. SMITIL-Tbe death et Mrs. Susan Smith, widow of the late Rev. John Smith, occurred at her home in Lucknow on Sunday evening, January 7th. She was sixty-eight years of age. Death followed a pare - lytic stroke which she sustained only„ a few dive previously and atter whice she never regained consciousness. Mos. Smith was one of the best-known figures in the village. Her second husband, Rev. John Stnith, died three years ago andetince tbat time she had lived in comparative retirement.
