without benefit I began using Dudd's

my nervousness and my backache so

THE VALUE OF EDUCATION.
Good Work Has Been Done by Holmes -
rale Poultry Station.
A few years age the Dominion Gov-
ernment instituted at a number of
places throughout the Dominion what
were called poultry stations. The Idea
was to educate the farming eommuu-
ity to produce more and better
poultry products. One of these sta-
tions was established at Holmesvil.e
zed was operated for several years.
Tte value of the educational wolk
done there has been app'trent ever
since. For the past two yeas Gunns
Limited have operated the old poultry
station and hare purchased all the
poultry produce they could get hold
of. They CIA m t het a is no section in
Canada where• better stuff can he pro -
cur, -d, whi' h .%peeks well for the early
educational welt in the section.
They are, howeve-, further develop-
ing this work by this year distribut-
ing to the farmers til this vicinity a
number of purebred Plymcut h 'Bock
cockerels from a good winter egg lay-
ing strain. One i f these is given to a
farmer with purebred stock and the
only :equeat made is that this cock-
erel be mated with his ti hest hens,
all other hens to he unmated. The
breeding cockerel is taken back after
the bac c eding season is over. The
aim of this is thnerfold: to produce
better and more uniform table poul-
try, to increa'e the egg -laying capac-
ity of the average flock, and to em-
pphasixe the importance of non -ferti-
lized eggs in the new -laid egg trade.
Any company that will take up edu-
cational wort along these lines de-
serves encouragement.
The poultry industry is usually
looked upon as a side lite and a very
enroll one at that, but the poultry
shipped front this one little point this
fell brought the farmers in that vici-
nity more than $40,000.

The Name on The Sole
The "INVICTUS" name and trade-
mark on the sole means a great deal to
any shoe -buyer.
It means footwear that will stand up
under every test for fit, style and wear.
It therefore means more for your
money, as well as for your feet and for
your sense of pride as to appearance.
Behind that trade -mark is the assur-
ance of an honest -made shoe --the shoe
you should always buy.
