Dr. Turnbull. of Toronto, preached two apiendid sermons to large eongregs- taons. in the evening the church was packed. the Methodists having elated their church. The choir under the leadership of Mr. A. E. Cook gave some good selections. She is a good elocutionist and pleased the audience in her vari- ous numbersQum - tette The Peerless Male of Goderich then gave a selec- tion which was heartily encored. Rev. T. H. Parr. of Trinity cbur^_h, wished the Presbyterians all success in their good work and then devoted a few minutes to his subjecL "A Smile." How much good. he said. can be done by a smite ! If a person feels blue and receives a .mile, how greatly it cheers! A minister especially. the speaker thought, should be always ready with the smile. as it helps in bis work.
