Goderich Boy Drowned.

drowning at Micbipicowt on Sunday
last of Alfred Coleman, son of James
Culertao, of Ooderich. The young

- A young lad of uncertain age was in
the Police Court on Wednesday after-
n.et for sentence on a theft charge.
A few days ago he hired a livery and
went to Dungannon, where he spent

lery and other articles. The owner of
the Lvery, suspecting that all was
no right, sent word to Dungannon,
to have the horse and rig held. Upon
the Oafs return to town he was

mitted having stolen 114 from
Sturdy's grocery store. Hi confessed
complete ignorance eonssrnang an-

McClinton's store. When arrested

Huron Old boys of Toronto.
A .neeting of the executive commit-
tee of the Huron Old Boys' Associa-
tion of Toronto was held at the Prince
George hotel. Toronto. on Monday
evening last to make final arrange -

by two special trains on Saturday,
Jul- 8th. The memher•e of the execu-
tive have decided to go on a special
tour by automobile from Staforth, in
which they will make a circuit of the
county in three days, visiting some

them.
Pleasure Boats.
Lovers of water sports will he
pleased to leant that Captain Don-
nelly has eetabfiahed a boat ''livery"
on Harbor Island to take the place of
the one which was destroyed by fire.

wood boats have arrived, and in addi-
tion there are several flat-bottomed
boats for fishing purposes. For the
convenience of those who prefer boat-
ing on tbe Maitlaui, sesetal of the

time.. To supplement ibis fleet of
rowboats, the yacht Shamrock has
been fitted out fur pleasure parties.
Captain Donnelly has the lest equip-
ment which has been here for many
yeses and it is hoped that he will re-
ceive sufficient patronage to warrant
expansion of his businees next season.

The June Sessions.
The trial of If Garnet Armstrong
will be an interesting case to be heard
at the June se.sione of the County
Court. which open before Judge Doyle
at the court house on Tuesday, June
13th. The trial of Mt. Armstrong.
who is a druggist of Lucknow,
charged with criminal negligence, was
put off last fall on account of the ill-
ness ..f an important witness in Tor-
onto. Another witness was absent in
California. but both of these will be
on band whep the trial opens. It will
be determined if the druggist is re-
sponsible fur the mist rte of his clerk
in filling a bottle labelled Rochelle
salts with tartar Emetic, which was
afterwards Fold to a customer. with
fatal results. The other criminal case
entered to be heard is that of indecent
assault against Harvey Beattie, who
was sent up for trial two weeks ago.
So far three civil actions have been
entered for trial at the same session of
the Court.
Harbor Notes.
Walter Shannon and Alt:. Colborne
have two handsome sailboat., twenty
feet in length, under construction.
While working on the construction
work of the new dredge, W. Marlton
had the misfortune to fall a few days
ago and break a couple of ribs. The
accident will lay him off work for some
time.
The schooner Isabella Sands is here
this week with a load of railway ties
for the West Shore Railway. They
were brought here from Manitoulin
i stand.
The drilling apparatus commenced
work in the harbor last week.
The cement work on the workhouse
of the Big Mill elevator will be com-
pleted this week. The installation of
the machioery in the elevator will be
commenced at once and if sufficient
workmen are obtained the work
should be completed in about six
peeks.

the infant son of the late Chas. Mug
ford, who died in 8t. Joseph's hospital,
London, were brought to Ooderich.
The interment was made in Colborne

It has been suggested that the
parts committee of the town council
take up the matter of placing seats on
