DEATH OF Mots. JAMES PIrrRIE.-
Last Friday morning the hate Mrs. Jas.
Petrie breathed her' last ars the com-
paratively early age of fifty -rix years.
Death was to her a blessed release
from pain. Two or three year. ago
she was stricken with cancer. About
w year ago she underwent an opera-
tion for its removal. It was theught
to be successful at the time. but It re-
turned last fall and since before

ago. He is manager of the Ideal Elec-
tric Manufacturing Co., of London,
and has just returoea from a business
trip through Northern Ontario and
the West as far as the Rockies.

cession, Tnckersmith, until her mar-
riage in 1883 to her now sorrowing
husband, Jas. Petrie. They lived on
the 14th concession of McKillop for
sixteen years, when they moved near
Clinton for one year, then they lived
one and a quarter miles east of Egmond-
ville for two yews•?, after' which eight
