Wyandotte pullets did for one, in the
veal 1910. These pullets heron layirg
January 1st. 1910, and in tbe year end-
ine Der -ember 31st, 1911, laid an aver-
age of VI/ eggs each. At 35 cut per
donee, these eggs would bring 91.41
per hen. Two yea, ago a pen of Our
8 P, Rocks averaged 218 eggs each.

DEATH OF MRs. MCKENZIE,--Atter
several months' illness, Iaahelle Mc-
Arthur, widow cif the late D. B. Mc-
Kenzie, passed away at her home here
on Wedueeday night, January 25th.
She bad been ill since last October,
when she suffered tt►o strokes of par-
alysis. Her age was sixty-eight years
and eight months.

settle the question by submitting it to
the congregation, who will vote upon

ing competition among the members
..f the Lochalsh Rifleolluh took place
at the butts last Saturday afternoon.
Sides had been chosen, the captains of
which were Dan. R. McKenzie and
Rollo Greet. the former winning by a
few points. An unusuallylarge num-
ber were present, probay over fifty
members taking part in the competi-
tion. As not all who are chosen at-
tend, this renders a match somewhat
unequal. so that the main ambition of
members is to secons, the highest s: ore
from an individual point of view
rather than from party considerations.
For want of space we shall give the
nacres of only twenty-three competi-
tors who secured the highest scores.
