Monday, although only a contest for
the rerevesbip, there being no dispute
for the oouncillora chain. seemed to

Dr. Smith. and Geo. Lindsay. the for-
mer being elected by the small major-
ity of nine.

celebrated their golden wedding.

union of their family. The gathering
was held at the old home on the °ode -
rich road, now the home of the young-
est son, Waiter Wallla, and was a

children and other relatives to the
number of fifty gathered to celebrate
the occasion and do honor- to the
worth old oouple who are on web and
favors�v known. Mr. Wallis is one
of the oldest settlers, being the first
white child born in Ooderioh township
and having resided on the same farm
