WHO WILL RUN ?
PROSPECTS FOR THE NEXT MUNI-
CIPAL ELECTIONS,
ti
Mayor Cameron Will Again Stand for
Election Several of the Coun-
cillors Will Retire - Colborne
Township Council Will Seek Re -
'election.
From present indications it way be
assumed that the personnel of the
town council will undergo several
changes at the next mune 1pal etec
Lions. This conclusion is not -arrived
at from any systematic sounding' of
public sentiment, but is founded on
dtetemeota made by the men who h-'ve
had charge of the town's affairs during
tale year that is now approaching .a
close.
This week a Signal representative
interviewed the city fathers individu-
ally and asked them for a statement
.(s tri :whether they intended entering
the field fol municipal honors for 1911
or not. -. .
M. G. Cameron, who has filled the
Mayor's chair during the present
year, signified his intention to he s
•andidate for anotbe•t' term.
Reeve (',-A. Reid• whin- has sorted
seven terms on the council, thought it
was ton early to make any statement
regarding hie intentions.
H. C. Munuings, who has a record
of several years :and who- boldo the
position of Deputy Reeve this ,year,
will be in the Held but will not say for
which office-ihe will be a candidate.
