THE STORM.- A very severe electric
storm was witnessed here on Monday
morning, lasting for 'several'hourk. A
great quantity of rain fell and ron.id-
erahlr damage was done within a
radius of a few miles of here. A tele-
phone pole at the Westfleld poitomre
corner was badly splintered ; a tree in
front of J. N. Campbell's house was
struck, and some fowl killed which
were in the tier • a Dumber of tele-
phone polwi on the North Huron line
near Marnoch were badly splintered;
but the greatest damage was the
burning to the ground of Wm.
Thompson's barn in the HLAugustine
neighborhood. Thio in a serionm lora
