Kincardine Reporter : - A case that
will mean considerable to township
councils Wan settled in Ashfield when
the council had to settle tor the horse
lost by Mr. Wm. McConnell, stage
driver between Kincardine and Gode-
rich, During the winter he lost 'a
hone through the mad blockading and
the animal getting down. The path -
master had been notified that the road
was impassable and noting was done
to open it. The stage line carrying the
mail bad to make the attempt. with
the result that McConnell lost a valu-
able horse. The council ham settled
with the stage driver for the beast.
The question now is. will a municipal-
ity have to keep a road open or be
held responsible?
