A great many of those we knew forty-
two years ago are now gone forever ;
in fart, few are now remaining that
were here then. What will happen
in the next forty-two years? . .. The

of the electric ra (way as far as it has

were the colors carried out in • very
pretty wedding which took place on
Wednesday, June Stith, at lo 4 m., in
St. Joseph's church. Kingsbridge, when
Mss Mary Catherine Griffin and D.
A. McIntyre were united in the holy
hoods otnatrimony. Het. Father
MacCormick officiated. The bride
looked graceful and prettyin aex-
quisite gown of chiffon biou )1 over taf-
feta. and a wreath of orange blossoms
caught the long tulle veil which hung
to the hem of her guwo. She carried
• beimuet of white bridal roes tial
with streamers of wilts satin ribbon.
Ape was attended hy her sister, Miss
Sadie, wearing a very pretty gown t,1
oid rues silk poplia and cream Leghorn
hat, and the groomsman was J. J.
O'Reilly. The grooms favor to the
breleemaid was a pearl ring and to
the grootasoan an opal tiepin. The
wedding Party drove to the home of

The bride received many beautiful

honored institution. the annual Do-
minion Day picnic at. Minted. should'
fall through for lack of a little enter-
prise. (wet Thursday, very few; it is
said, attended, and this was owing to

pleasant gathering would not take
place. As far back as some of the
middle-aged can remember, many
from the surrounding country as well
its from the heightening towns yearly
assembled at that picturesque spot

to spend a delightful afternoon by the
shores of our great inland sea. To
many, who are normal and who are
not ascetically or monastically in-
clined. it is a pleasant change from
the daily routine of trail to have
the opportunity of meeting with

ones 1 It is positively cruel to deprive
them of the extreme pleasure of dis-
porting themselves in the waters. or
walking on the sends, or other joys
which the elders can easily imagine
by recalling their own younger dept.
Give the young folks a chance, as well
ad the older ones, to look forward
with pleasure to an occasion of thin
kind, as many are unable to attend
the celebrations in the district towns
on Dominion Day, and this can he
done by inserting beforehand a short
notice in the local papers or otherwise,
that such a gathering will take place.

which was held In Wallace's grove on
July 1st, under the auspices of the
