Slit, -Some years ago the St, Pat- rick's ward schoolhouse was hurried, thus making our school accommoda- tion insufficient. Now, the school- house in St. I)avi:Fa ward is worn out. The room at the Temperance Hall is not suitable for school purposes, as those sending children here too well know. They have secured as a site the (lib - bons buns property, which they consider central and the bent site available, Some citizens believe that the abattoir and stables adjoining the new site render these grounds unsuitable. Unless everything is kept perfectly clean and no animals are kept in stables or pens adjacent to the school yard, offensive odor will sometimes be carried' into the school rooms. The environment, of a school should be elevating and healthful. Mr. furney stats that everything inside and outside of the abattoir will he kept, scrupulously clean and sanatory. He desires that the board of health shall at any time call hie attention to Whatever is not right ; and he will have what is objectionable removed. Thin should satisfy everyone.
