NEW SCHOOL.
To the Editor , The Signal.
Slit, -Some years ago the St, Pat-

part of the town, having ample ac-
commodation for several years and
having all necessary conveniences.
They have secured as a site the (lib -

central and the bent site available,
Some citizens believe that the abattoir
and stables adjoining the new site
render these grounds unsuitable.
Unless everything is kept perfectly
clean and no animals are kept in
stables or pens adjacent to the school
yard, offensive odor will sometimes
be carried' into the school rooms.
The environment, of a school should
be elevating and healthful. Mr.
furney stats that everything inside
and outside of the abattoir will he
kept, scrupulously clean and sanatory.
He desires that the board of health
shall at any time call hie attention to
Whatever is not right ; and he will
have what is objectionable removed.
Thin should satisfy everyone.
The plans selected by the school
