last the officers of the Hayfield Agri-
eultnral Society, accompanied by
their wives and invited t'riends, num-
bering over sixty, assembled at the
home of Robert Snowden, Bauble line,
to give him an oyster temper in honor
of his re-election as president of the
Society, which office he has ably
filled for ten yeses. The beginning of
the evening was spent in playing
games and other amusements. while
the ladies were preparing the feast
and spreading the tables until they
groaned beneath the weight of goose
things provided by them. Supper
over, dancing began and was quite
freely Ind 1lged in by both old and
young. Meters. Darrah, of Rayfield,
furnished the music floe the dance.

managed I he flair and kept It warm
until the sun began to rise. Miss
Bella 1Mlgaty delighted the company
