Ye Olde -time Concerto.
••The old-time" concert given in the
basement of Victoria street Methodist

entirely preparedand presented by
the young ladies of the congregation,

to decide which of the two concerto is
the better. A leading feature of last
Thursday's affair wan the presentation
of the scene; "A Sore Touch on the
country Storekeeper." The produc-
tion war. entirely the get-up of the

James Powrie, as Peck's Bad I3oy ;
Dave Wells, as the village black-
smith ; Lawrence Blachard, as Hiram
Green' E. B. Hale, as Mr. Wisehead,
the school teacher; 8. Belcher, as the
parson, and Dr. W. Millyard an stare
manager. The production abounded
in wit and fun all through and several
choruses were introduced with good
effect. Heinieke's orchestra made a
valuable contribution to the program,
leading in the opening hymn, giving
two program selections and playing
during the serving of refreshments at
the close. Solos were given by A.
Cook, S. Belcher, 1. Powrie and Bert

instrumental duet by A Roy Adams
