A Heavy Affliction.
Once mug ,• it is wit- sad duty to
record a death in the O'Loughlin f;un-
ily.of West Wawanaish. The dread
destroyer, consumption, has levied a
heavy toll on the family, the lit to
succumb being Martin, though it was
really heart failure rather than lung
trouble that caused his death, Mince
September last his heart had leen
getting weak and the heart action
weakened rapidly since about the
middle of November. Him death took
place on Thursday evening, December
letb, and the funeral was on the fol.
lowing SaturiHy morning, the inter-
ment being (made at St. Augustine.
High wows was sung by Fattrsr Ilan•
Ion and Father l.aurendean preached
a short but very consoling sermon.
The pall-teerers were six of the de-
ceased's neighbors who had been very
