This morning as the train was nearing
the station from the dock • oow disputed

A telegram from Parry Sound, dated J my
15, says An explosion oaurred here in •
machine shop this afternoon by which
Charles Jefferson, engineer, was mortally
wounded sod three other men slightly ta-
jured. A cylinder was being heated when it
suddenly exploded with terrific form. It
was found that it contained water, un-
known to the workmen. 1'art of the end d
the building was blown out. Jefferson re-
ceived injuries from which he died three
hours afterwards. Alex Adair was eut on
the Lace and head, John Wood slightly cut
and one other slightly hurt.

tiat' Endeavor in Knox Church on Tuesday
evening. The topic was "For Christ and
the ('hunch," end there was ptayer for the
International Christian Kodeavor conven-
tion. Mies Belle Wilson lead on the topic,
and the evening's discourse was most pro-
fitable. The question and answer section
brought out the feet that 1995 new branches
had keen esteblisted in Ontario during the
