Situated on the St. tonneau river and
some eight or nine miles east of Montreal
are the well-known Lachine Rapids. the

It is a fine afternoon and we take the
train for Lachine, a neatly built village.
We spend the afternoon there and n the
early evening board the staunch ride -wheel
steamer Sovereign. one of the many boats
that are in .constant use in shooting those
far -timed fapids.
Shortly aftet leaving Lachine the reenter
