The Greid Northwestern Fair, which

knots:, last year a departure was made
from the old style of holding annual
fairs in Goderich, and the result wits
highly satisfactory to those who had ad.
wonted the "new departure." A lame
park of sixteen acres was procured, and
an outlay of some 87,000 was made,
thee making it • roost complete exhibi-
tion gerund, so tar as buildings, fencing,
draining, &at., were concerned. The
wooer of the show justified what was
considered at the time to be the base,
outlay, and there were few in town who
did not speak with pride of the Great
Northwestern Fair. Large, however, as
the expenditure bed been, it was found
that still greater accommodation was re-
quired and this year a further outlay of
about 81,000 was made sod additions'

sad a large machinery hall were
erected, thus offering increased -

usefulness sod extent of the exhibi-
