pair of handcuffs be created, and that
the clerk purchase 2 dozen pairs. That
the tender .f Xavier Baechler for 100
cords of wood be accepted. The wood to
peas the inspection of the county clerk,
it bang understood that one half be
maple. That no action be taken on the
letter of Johanna Barker relating to David
Kinsman. That the report of the gaoler
promoted to the committee be printed in
this minutes. That a stove be provided
for ward No. 1 in the gaol. That 2 oil
cloth rugs be provided for use in the
gaol. That the stairs in gaol be repaired
avid any plastering required in the court
house be do.e under the superinten-
dence of the county clerk. That Mr.
Adamson provide a suitable carpet for

Mr. Wilson, that clause 19 of the report
of the finance committee passed last
June be rescinded, and that while this
council decline to affirm the expediency
of the appointment of a police magistrals
with salary, the warden and clerk be
authorized to msmuralize the Lieut -Gov-
ernor -in -Council to grant the prayer of
the petiton forwarded to the Govern-
ment last fall from the temperance or-
ganization of the county of Huron, te-
specting the appointment of a police
magistrate, but without salary.
