TUE TE- MPERANCE OUTLOOK.
Among thou who 'Mated the recast
Prohibstioo oonventios an Toronto was
Rev. T. M. Campbell, of Goderiek, who
is regarded ss one of the Memel advo-
saes of temperenos relent in the west.
In compliance with a regalia from the
editor of the paper, Mr. Campbell has
given us the fottomig iaspressioss
carding the coevession and its work :—
It was our privilege to &Mad the ems -
volition of tenspermos workers held a
Tomtit* lea week by the Ontario Bratsk
and we would hke to remrd • few of our
impreeeions received there.
The aonventioa was very lareely
tended, all motions of the provisos being
repressoted there.
The highly repressatative character of
OM convention was to us a matter of
surprise. Never before have we men or
beard of soak numbers of business me
leaving their business, and giving time
and thought to help to work out the dto
tails of this temperance question Surely
this atestion is to the front in this pro -
vim at least.
The aonvoution was instind with great
unanimity of thought. This great num-
ber of men from all parts who came to-
gether had hoes for meths considering
this problem, aid lsor the most part had
formed their emissions dose ; but now
whoa they same to ampere notes they
head me ammo spirit had led these
all, and it Imam very easy to from •

The spirit of beanies mazy and do -

something uncommon. To bear • lot of

The resolutions published in last

the temperance party, but as everybody

the facts of my connection with work for
the school board far years back, years
before the gabby little native of St.
Gileii illuminated the board with his
presence or paralysed it with his florid
cockney oratory. For the put five years
I have done nearly all the work required
by the board, and have always charged
reasonably and done the work satis-

or two occasions when I received the
work without tender, but 011 them cm-

and the work was imperatively needed.
One of these occasime was last "Trine
when H. W. Ball came to use and re-
quested me to put up waveless! ad-

I did the work, and eLen it was done

was then instructed tn get the limber
