Two week of the citizens' railway com-
mittee progresses favorably. At a meet-
Ing'held on Monday evening last, a letter
was -red from W. C. VanHorne, vice-
preardent of the C. 1'. R., in which it
Irma stated that the company were alive
to the importance of extending the west
ern branch of the T. O. R B. R. to some
"favorable lake outlet." It was also
stated that the claims of Godcrich in
such an event stood high, and would re-
ceive sonsideralion as soon as confidence
in Canadian securities and Canadian en-
terprises was restore in the European
Money markets. The acknowledgement
by the vice-president that the extension
of the Teeswater branch to some "favor-
able point on the lake," goes far to show
that the act- of the G.oderich citizens'
committee has been in the right direc-
tion. Let the good work be continue,
and Gederich will in due time receive
its reward in the getting of a competitive
railway gine.
