Tel temperance people of Toronto are
to be eoot,ratulated on the majority of
349 polled by them in favor of the by-
law to separate the sale of liquor from
the grocery trade. The vote polled was
• large one -nearly 11,000 -and on that
account we appreciate the victory all the
more. It shows that it was no .nap ver-
dict. The result has riven a new impetus
to temperance work all over the pro -
wince.
