Tie Mcrris Branch Agricultural So- ciety held its show at Blyth on Thurs- day and Friday, llth and 12th inst., and although the weather was not favorable, owing to the rain, the attendance was good. The outside departments, con• silting or horses, cattle, sheep, pigs, poultry, etc., were better, as a whole, tl.an they had ever been these, -in fact, better horses have not been shown any- where in this section this year. The grade cattle gave evidence of much im- pruvement, a .d the sheep were reel). tirat-class. The inside departtnent was not equal to some former years, which 13 not to be wondered at,:isthe seae)!l ti late for sante kinds of fruit and vegetables, besides being a bad year fur theist.
