The annual fall show of Stanley Agri-
cultural Society, was held at hayfield,
on Thera !ay and F ndey last, and was a
suaii, all departments being fair-
ly represeuted, but in horses, cattle,

The judges were Messrs D H Ritchie, J
Essen and A Granger. The judges after
a careful examination of "the darlinta'
were either nnable or afraid to decide
which were the beat, and cunsequeiltly
they did the next best thing and mean
them all bust by dividing up the prize
money equally between them, and each
babe was awarded two dollars.

Tie Mcrris Branch Agricultural So-
ciety held its show at Blyth on Thurs-
day and Friday, llth and 12th inst., and
although the weather was not favorable,
owing to the rain, the attendance was
good. The outside departments, con•
silting or horses, cattle, sheep, pigs,
poultry, etc., were better, as a whole,
tl.an they had ever been these, -in fact,
better horses have not been shown any-
where in this section this year. The
grade cattle gave evidence of much im-
pruvement, a .d the sheep were reel).
