Zion Lutheran Church, Strat-
ford was the setting for the
of Beverley Elizabeth
Sholdice and Allan Stanley
Wagner on November 18th at
4 o'clock with Rev. H. Gast-
meier officiating at the double
ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Russell Sholdice,
270 Mornington Street, Stratford
and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Wagner
304 Douglas Street, Stratford are
the parents of the groom.
The church was decorated
with candelabra, mums in autumn
colors and bows of rust and white
• on the pews.
The bride, given in marriage
by her parents, chose a floor
length gown of white peau -de- sole
fashioned with empire waistline,
leg of mutton sleeves, chapel
train and double ruffle at hem-
line. The gown was enhanced with
beaded pearl drop trim. The
scoop neckline had an inset of
illusion sprinkled with tiny
pearls. Her four-tierred veil
was held by a headdress of ma-
terial and trim matching the
gown, flowed to her waistline.
She carried a hand sheath of.
roses and mums in white with
a scattering of rust mums.
Mrs. Dale Robinson, cousin
of the bride, Stratford, was the
matron of honor and Miss Gail
Robbins, Stratford, Miss Lois
Davey, London, Miss Lori Wag-
ner,sister of the groom,Strat-
ford were the bridesmaids. They
were dressed alike in floor-
length , short sleeved, gowns
with rust bodice and beige skirt
in peasant style with braid trim
down the front of skirt and around
the ruffled hemline and tie sash
at waistline. They wore dried
flowers in their hair and carried
hand sheaths of autumn flowers.
Miss Judy Sholdice, niece of
the bride, Waterloo was the
flower girl wearing a gown
identical to those of the brides-
maids. Master Jeffrey Sholdice,
nephew of the bride, Mississauga
Ontario was the ringbearer.
Elligsen, Walton, played for the
processional "Trumpet Tune"
and for the recessional "Trumpet
Voluntary". She also accompan-
ied the soloist, Miss Margaret
Elligsen when she sang "Love
Shall Abide"; "Lord's Prayer"
, and "Wedding prayer".
The dinner and reception was
held at the Legion Hall, Strat-
ford with the Royalaires provid-
ing the music for dancing. The
bride's mother received the
guests in a floor-length sleeve-
less gown of moss green polyes-
ter crepe, with beaded trim and
brown accessorieswith a corsage
of roses and mums in autumn
colours. The groom's mother
assisted wearing a floor-length
gown of gold Lama and polyes-
ter satin with short sleeves,
brown accessories and a corsage
similar to that of the bride's
mother.
For their wedding trip to
Toronto and eastern Ontario, the
bride travelled in a red plaid
blazer, black slacks and mat-
ching accessories. She wore
a white carnation.
The couple will reside at
R.R.#7, St. Marys (Avonbank).
Guests were present from
New Jersey, Kalamazoo,Mich.,
Windsor, Mississauga, Weston,
Peterborough, Brampton, Water-
loo, London, Thornhill, Brussels,
Walton, Seaforth, Mitchell, Mil-
verton, Brodhagen, St. Marys,
Tiverton, Shakespeare, Strat-
ford and surrounding district.
The master of ceremonies
at the wedding dinner was the
bride's uncle, Mr, Howard
Querengesser, Stratford.
Mr* and Mrs, Andrew icirk-
Ocartriell, were pleasantly sur,
prised on the occasion of their
45th. anniversary with a family
dinner and, open Rouseheldat the
home- of -their daughter, Mrs,.

the family sat .down to a turkey
dinner, the table centered with
three-tiered wedding -cake
decorated in pink and white roses

ter, Miss Mary Anne Elake
pinned an orchid corsage on.her
grandmother and MasterCre.gory.
Kirkconnell the youngest grand-
$011. pinned. a boutoniere on his
grandfather, Donald Kirkconnell
of Goderich proposed, a toast
to his grandparents. Gifts were
presented and pictures taken._
Open house was held in the
afternoon and afternoon tea and.
wedding cake were served to
guests from Kitchener, London,
St. Marys, Mitchell, Monkton,
Goderich, Clinton, Brussels and
Auburn.
mr. and Mrs . 'Kirkconnell
were married at the Blyth
Anglican. Church Rectory. by the
late Rev. W.B... Hawkins, Mr.
Kirkconnell is the son of the
late Mr, and Mrs. John Kirk-
connell of Grey Township, and
Mrs. Kirkconnel was the former
Elizabeth Daer, daughter of the
late Mr. and mrs. Samuel Daer

The afternoon unit of the
Brussels U.C.W, met at the home
of Mrs. D,A. Rann when sixteen
members and two visitors
attended. During the past month
twenty-four visitations had been
made by the members.
The program was convened by
Mrs. Cousins, Mrs. Rann and
Mrs. Hupfer. The Scripture Story
of the Birth of Christ was read
by Mrs. Cousins followed by
prayer. Mrs. Filmier gave a
reading entitled "Memories of
Christmas". Mrs. Bryans
favoured with a piano solo--a
collection of Christmas Fa-
vourites . Mrs. Cousins read
a poem entitled "Christmas
is the Time," Song sheets were
distributed and all joined in sing-
ing many of the Christmas
Carols.
Mrs. Thomas convened the
business on the agenda. Christ-
mas cards for ladies who have
left the unit during the past
year were signed by the mem-
bers. The boxes for shut-ins
will be packed at the church
on Friday afternoon at one
o'clock. Each lady was asked
to tell her place of birth and
a recollection of Christmas.
The next meeting will be
Jan. 9, 1973 at the home of
Mrs. Thomas.
