notireinent can change the at-
titude and the personality. It hap.
pens. Sometimes an individual'
who has always been active in
civic and social organizations
drops everything with retirement
and, in the opinion of friends,
"drops out of sight," Then there
is the quiet individual who spends
20 or 25 years doing nothing but
going to work and then turns into
a worker and joiner during the
retirement years.
Why?' Perhaps it is not a change
in attitude or personality—but a
change in direction. SoMe indi-
viduals are so absorbed with job
and job responsibilities during
the working years they will not
allow time for any other activi-
ties. They look forward to retire-
ment because it will give them
time to do other things.
Another truth often is that peo-
ple in certain jobs feel civic and.
social activities are necessary and
helpful in the business of getting
ahead in their field or profession.
They don't always enjoy the
things they de. When the job is
gone, so is the necessity to be-
long to particular organizations or
to pursue some social activities,
It can be this way because re-
tirement is, indeed a time for liv-
ing as you like it, Retirement is,
earned time. If you are. financially
in a position to do so, you can
spend the time in a rocking chair.
This is not advisable. It's much
more fun, and healthier, to do
something that you really enjoy—
and exercise the right to refuse
to do something that really isn't
necessary.

Also in .council Friday, were
many of the new reeves and
deputy-reeves who will be mem-
bers' of county council for the
19'0-'74 term,, All SP9ke and
expressed their desire to work
at the ,county level toward a
better Huron.
In that connection, Reeve Paul
Carroll of Goderich, made a re-
mark during his parting address
which is pertinent.
Reeye Carroll urged all mem,
bers of county council old and
new - in 1973 to leave their
urban versus rural feelings out-
side the county chambers. He
suggested that council members
work together with a broad out-
look for the future of Huron
County and all its citizens.

MODULAR 4 COLOR TV
New modular chassis ...
reliable, rugged ... ,
a top performer
A major breakthrough ... that's the only way to describe
Rogers Majestic Modular Color T.V. The object was to
simplify the circuitry and to improve reliability. The need
to improve resulted in the design and development of a
modular or building block technique in which four major
parts of the television circuit were localized to four
panels. These four panels are the heart of the chassis.
Makes servicing a snap
The modular chassis is a marvel of electronic craftsman-
ship and engineering imagination. It has been tested
and perfected. It has also been designed so that if prob-
lems do occur, servicing is a snap. The modular concept
makes it possible. The technician simply locates the fault
in one of the four circuit panels and replaces it with a
new one which he carries with him-as part of his tool kit.
To do so, he unplugs the defective unit and snaps in the
new one. Chances are most repairs can be done right in
the home.
Model 26P1.10 — 26"
The beauty of contemporary design is admirably
captured in this full console model. Same solidly
built cabinet. Rogers Majestic utilizes modern
techniques in cabinet construction and controls
every operation in its own design studio as well
as its own cabinet factory. This cabinet has been
hand-rubbed to a fine furniture finish of Natural
Walnut. This beautiful cabinet also houses the
powerful new Modular chassis.
