Church held a successful bazaar
on Saturday, in the Community
Centre.
Mr. and Mrs. Clare Veitch
were in London on Saturday and
attended the funeral of the late -
Rev. Stinson.
FUNERAL
NORMAN C. PFEIFER
Funeral services for the
late Norman C. Pfeifer were
held November 27th at the
Heath Leslie Funeral Home,
Mitchell and, were conducted by
Rev. Charles A. Falconer,
minister of Monkton and Cran-
brook Presbyterian Churches.
Mr. Pfeifer who had been a
mail courier on R.R.3, Brussels
for 14 years died November 24th
in Listowel.
Pallbearers were GlenSmith,
Ken Tyerman, Stanley Fischer,
Earl Dunn, Gordon Engel and
Alex Cameron. Flowerbearers
were four nephews, Roy Pfeifer,
Doug. Pfeifer, Jim Pfeifer and
Bob Dewing.
Burial was in Woodland Cem-
etery , Mitchell.

Guild meets
The Guild of Melville Pres-
byterian Church met in the church
parlour when Mrs. Leone Arm-
strong read a poem on (iRemem-
branc e" telling of the brave who
fought and died for our country.
Psalm 46 was read in unison
followed by prayer by Mrs.
Brenda Perrie, The topic was
presented by Mrs. Ethel Brower.
Mrs. Rose Marie Bishop pre-
sided for business when plans
were made for a Christmas meet-
ing on December 11th at Mary
Huether's home. The meeting
discussed what would be done
for Callander nursing home pat-
ients and former members of
the church who are at Huron-
view. A committee was named
to meet with the Ladies Aid.

R.R.2, Brussels (right) who won the Canadian Imperial Bank
of Commerce (Seaforth Branch) award. The presentation of
a wrist watch was made by John Brown, Seaforth.

reading a series of ten dis-
courses„ on passages 91 the Bible,

prophecies in. the Old Testament.

Baptist and the Messiah, through
to the fulfillment of those pro-
mises in the birth of Jesus
Christ, the Son of God and the
Saviour of the world.
These readings were inter-
spersed with the singing of
Christmas hymns.
Mrs. Gibson read a story
"A Gift From The Heart."
A duet, "Peace and Good-
will" sung by Mrs. W. C.
King entitled "Trinity Chimes"
