for retirement
Row .do ,you prepare for re-
tirement? I f you .are wise, you
make plans. eAriy. During the
working years you. make provi,
sion4 for the kind .Of, a retire-
merit AnCOM.e.•yOn. will APO to.
comfortably .,and to, assure
that you will. be able to affOrd,
any hobbies or activities you plan
to schedule with your- ,new al,
lotinerit of time,
For those unable to set aside
some savings„ to. make some in,
vestments, for the future, plan-
ning and preparation is doubly
important. if: a part -time job is
in order, or 14 a .necessity, look
for that job before the actual
day of retirement. Be able to
say, "I am planning to retire
soon," rather than. 0.1, am retired
and need. a job."
Early planning gives you time.
to carefully determine exactly
what your retirement income. will
be, from pension benefits, from
.social security, Check this
gainst your anticipated living
expenses and you will know how
much you can-or should-earn
from part-time employment.
One of the most important
adjustments- to make for retire,
ment is the matter of attitude.
It does no good to hold. the be-
lief that employer or company
is locking you out after long
years of service. Instead, that
you are walking through the door
to new opportunities.. You have
terminated a period •of service,
but the world is still a busy
place, still offers rewards to
those who exercise talent and
energy.
