WEDDING
PALMER - COOK
Rev. John G. Roberts officia-
ted at the double ring cerrmony
uniting in marriage Bonnie Jean
Cook and. Malchom John Palmer
of Kincardine, in Knox United
Church, Belgrave, on Saturday,
November 4, at. 6;30 p.m. Miss
Brenda. Johnston presided at the
organ for the processional .and
recessional and provided 'quiet
music during the signing of the
register.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. AlbertCook of Bel-
grave and the groom. is the son of
Mrs. Charles Palmer and the late
Mr. Palmer. Mr. Cook gave. his
daughter in marriage.
The bridal gown was floor-
length white polyester crepe in
empire style. The bodice and
long sleeves of the gown were
Chantilly lace and her three
tiered shoulder length veil was
trimmed with the same lace and
attached to a crown headpiece.
She carried a bouquet of yellow
mums and trailing ivy.
Miss. Joyce Smith of Brussels
was maid of honor. She wore
a floor-length dress of pale
mauve polyester crepe with long
sleeves. The dress was decor-
ated with dark mauve bow and
streamers and she carried a bou-
quet of yellow and mauve mums
and trailing ivy.
Groomsman was David Cuyler
of Kincardine and the bride's
brother James Cook of Belgrave
ushered guests.
Mauve and white streamers
and white wedding bells decora-
ted Brussels Legion Hall for the
reception which followed. A three
tiered heart-shaped wedding cake
centred the bride's table. Music
was supplied by the Alley Cats.
The bride's mother wore a
dress of turquoise and white
crimplene with long sheer
sleeves and black accessories.
Her corsage was yellow mums.
The groom's mother chose a
dress of black and white double
knit crepe with black accessor-
ies and a corsage of pink carn-
ations.
The bride's going away cos-
tume was a red crimplene dress
trimmed with white, topped with
a brown coat trimmed with fur.
Mr. and Mrs. Palmer will re-
side at R.R.4, Ripley.
The bride is a graduate of
hair dressing school.
OUt• of town guests attend-
ed the wedding from Ottawa, St.
Catharines, St. Mary's, Kincar-
dine, Goderich, Listowel and
Toronto. Honored guests were
the bride's grandmothers, Mrs.
Fred Cook of Goderich and Mrs.
John F. McCallum of Belgrave.
ATTEND MESSENGERS
Twenty-one children attend-
ed Belgrave United Church Mes-
sengers on Sunday morning in
the church basement.
The leaders are Mrs. Murray
Scott and Mrs. Ross Higgins
assisted by Doreen Anderson and
Janice Coultes. The meeting
started by singing hymns and
stories.
Katherine Procter took up
the offering and Sheila Ander-
son led in prayer.
The group divided for more .

met at the home of Alice Bee-
croft for a buffet supper when
.the mothers were guests, .After
the supper a short meeting was,
held when there was a discussion
of exhibits. for Achie vement pay

in play Wednesday evening in
the Belgrave Community Rooms
with, prizes going to; high lady-

Porter.
Mrs. Clarence Yuill and Mrs.
Leslie Bolt attended the Royal
Winter Fair, Toronto on Monday
and Tuesday of last week. While
there they were present at the
Leaders' Breakfast Banquet, in
the Lord Simcoe Hotel.
Approximately three hundred
leaders of 4-H Clubs were at
the breakfast.
Mr. and. Mrs. Jack Van Camp
attended the funeral of Mr. How-
ard Leinseder of Elyria, Ohio
on Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. David Hanna and
family of Kitchener spent the
weekend with their parents Mr.
and Mrs. Willard Armstrong and
Mr. and mrs. Clarence Hanna.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Gross
and Anita of Blyth visited on
Sunday with Mrs. Clarence Ch-
also with Clarence who
is a patient in Wingham and Dis-
trict Hospital,
Master Wayne Lickty of R.R.
1, Milverton visited on the week
end with his grandparents Mr.
and Mrs. Robert Hibberd.
Mr. and Mrs. Warren
Zurbrigg of R.R.2, Clifford visit-
ed Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hibberd
on Friday evening.

Kenneth Liekty, R.R.1, Milverton
visited with Mr, and Mrs. Rob-,
ert Hibberd on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Murray Coultes
of Toronto, spent the weekend
with his parents Mr. and Mrs.
Ronald Coultes and attended the
funeral of hip uncle Mr. Cecil
Coultes, on Saturday.
Mrs. Robert coultes spent
a few days with her sister Mrs.
Russel Walker of Goderich also
visited with Mr. Walker who is
a patient in the Nursing Home
on Nelson Street.
This community extends sym-
pathy to Mrs. Cecil. Coultes in
the passing of her husband Cecil,
in the Victoria Hospital, London.
Harvey Edgar and Mrs. Lewis.
Stonehouse visited with their mo-
ther Mrs. Arthur Edgar who
underwent surgery last Thurs-
day in St. Mary's Hospital, Kit-
chener.
Mrs. Charles Kaasa of Cal-
gary, Alberta, is spending a few
days with Mr. and Mrs. Ronald
Coultes also visiting with other
relatives.

Norma Hodgins of Port Stanley
yisited on Saturday with Mr.
and Mrs. Jack McBurney.

spent a weekend recently with
Mr. and Mrs. Grant McBurney
and family of Bay Ridges.
Mrs. Kenneth Wheeler is a
patient in St. Mary's Hospital
Kitchener where she underwent
surgery last Thursday.
Mrs. Dave Armstrong was
transferred from Victoria Hos-
pital, London to Wingham and
District Hospital on Friday.

a distance who attended the fun-
eral of the late Cecil Coultes
were: Mr. and Mrs. M. Spen-
cer and Michael of Simcoe, Ont.,
