Couple ..celebrate 25th assiversor
SPECIAL SERVICE
Sunday morning service at
Duff's United Church, Walton
opened with a sing-song assisted
by Graeme Craig, with his gui-
tar. Rev. Derwyn Docken took
as his sermon "Why be a Chris-
tian".
During the service Mrs. Har-
old McCallum dedicated hymn
books in memory of the late
Noble McCallum.
Dedications of memorials by
Mr. Wm. J. Leeming and Rev.
D. Docken from the William Knox
Estate made possible the lighted
cross, outside flood light and
chancel lights.
Lunch was served in the base-
ment fallowing the special ser-
vice, by the 8th and 16th unit,
with the Walton unit tidying up.

of their 20th wedding Anniver-
sary.
They were married on Nov
ember 20th, 1947, at BrUsselsby
Rev. Hugh Wilson, new retired
living at Exeter. petty Is the
daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Russell Currie of th e 4th line
Of Morris, Allan is the son of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Mc-
Call of the 9th line, Morris where
they now reside.
The evening was spent in play-
ing cards. Those present for
the happy event were; Mr. and
Mrs. John Currie, Orangeville,
Mr. and Mrs. Stuart' Stevenson
and 'Anna Lee, Cranbrook, Mr.
Donald Currie, Brampton, Miss.
Betty Mason, Brussels, Mr.
Douglas Currie, Orangeville, Mr.
Barry Currie, London, Mr. and
Mrs. Murray Blake, Brussels,
and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Steven-
son, Kitchener.
Prior to a buffet lunch, Mr.
and Mrs. McCall were present-
ed with lovely gifts and cards
from all those present.
On Sunday evening. Mr. and
Mrs. Allan McCall were supper
guests at the home of Mr. and.
Mrs. mei McCutcheon, Brussels.
On Monday evening Mr. and
Mrs. Jim McCall and Susan en-
tertained in their home to a
fowl supper to celebrate the 25th
wedding anniversary of Mr. and
Mrs. Allan McCall.
Among those present were,
Mr. and Mrs. Archie young,
Mr. and Mrs. George McCall,
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Stevenson
and Ronald, Mr. and Mrs. Harry
Snell came later and Mr. and. Mrs.
John A. Perrie were unable to
attend.
Jim McCall spoke a few words
of congratulations to the bride
and groom of twenty-five years.
George McCall made the pre-
sentation of a pole lamp. Both
Betty and Allan expressed their
thanks for the gift and to Jim
and Effie for opening their home
for this special occasion.
On Friday evening 10 tables
were in play at the ComMunity
Hall. Prize winners were, high
lady - Mrs. Keith Rock; low
lady - Mrs. Sadie McDonald,
high gent - Dave Watson, low
gent - Jim McDonald. LuCky
cup - Mrs. Jim McDonald.
The committee in charge ser-
ved lunch, Mrs. Ron. Bennett,
Mrs. Nelson. Marks, Mrs. Earl
Watson and Mrs. Ken McDonald,
The next card party was announc-
ed for Friday, December 1st, at
8:30 p.m.
Visiting Mrs. Roy Bennett
for the weekend were Mr. and
Mrs. Fred Rutledge, Betty and
Don of Ottawa and Mrs. Les
Rutledge of StreetsViLle,
we are glad to report that
Mrs. Maud Leeming returned
home from the Clinton Hospital
last Friday and is much im-
proVed.
